A remarkable early 1900's Haitian Folk Art Carved and Painted Bust of Toussaint L'Ouverture by Ulyssee Dabouze and Jean Felix Clemence.
The condition is Near Fine with minor paint loss and wear. The back is signed by both artist using their initials and front gives the name of this famous General of Haiti's history.

Grace Turnbull was one of the top Artist to come out of Maryland Instituted of Art and was considered " a member of the first generation of women artists to achieve recognition in the art field". Her work went from the the 20's and continued to the 50's doing more political minded items. Here she designed and cast three plaster medallions, all three mounted onto board and labeled on the back.
Go from Left to Right:
1. Maryland Conservation Association
2. Maryland Conservation Association for Outstanding Achievement
3. Maryland Conservation Association for Outstanding Achievement
All three have the labeled on the back with removal instructions and also artist statements about the piece.
One has the label for the juried show and gives a date of execution of 1950.
Each plaque is 14" x 14 1/2" wood with a 12" diam plaster medal.

A Penciled Signed Philip Kappel Lithograph of Lake at Dusk. Philip Kappel, known for his Maritime Art shows an almost Arts and Crafts style and or a Japanese Woodblock Technique in this tranquil scene at dusk. The lithograph is signed in pencil lower right.
The image size is almost an 8” x 10”.
The Frame is approx. 13” x 15”
Bigrpahical information:
Philip Kappel — painter, illustrator, printer, writer, and lecturer — was born on February 10, 1901 in Hartford, CT and died in 1981. Kappel is best remembered for his landscapes, portraits, figures, marine, lithography, and etching. He held a teaching position with H. B. Snell, Boothbay, ME Studios, 1923 and 1924.

2 1930's pen signed and dedicated to Richard "Dick" V. Cutler (amateur illustrated during the 1930's) Esquire prints, approx. 14 1/2" x 10 1/2" framed and 4 service pages of Dick Cutler.
The discharge pages are from 1937 and are Certificate of Service issued by the Untied States Department of Commerce.

Roger Bezombes (1913-1994) "Air France Soleil" Serigraph 3D Collage Poster published by Mourlot Paris, circa 1980. The poster was commissioned by Air France and measures approx. 39 1/8" x 23 5/8".
The poster has some minor abrasions and some soiling to paper, please see photos for a visual description.
Roger Bezombes was an artist of great talent, winning awards, multiple Gallery shows and commissions . A student of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, his art used rich saturated bold colors which can be seen in this wonderful poster from circa 1980.

A bold and very nice Joan Miro Lithograph after the 1951 painting, On Four Walls. This large Lithograph published by Galerie Maeght's Derrière le Miroir 1952 art review magazine is a licensed edition. Miro worked closely with the publishing of this image of this wall painting originally for the Harvard University Graduate School. The image is approx. 10" x 31 1/4" and is still strong and bold colors.
The total edition is about 1200.
