1911 Die Bayros Mappe I Ex Libris Verlag K. Senger Munchen Folio 12 Heliogravure Numbered 280/500

The Marquis Franz Von Bayros (1866-1924), the Austrian artist, painter and illustrator

In 1904, Bayros gave his first exhibition in Munich, which was a great success. From 1904 until 1908, Bayros traveled to Paris and Italy for his studies. Returning Vienna, he felt himself a stranger. The outbreak of the First World War was yet another setback for Bayros. The artist died on April 2, 1924 from a cerebral hemorrhage.

Size: Folio is approx. 11 1/2 x 9 1/4 inches
Plates are approx. 8 7/8 x 11 inches
Condition: Some wear to the end boards of the folio with minor bend to the corners. The plates and passpartouts are in very good condition with some very minor fades, the heliogravures are in excellent condition. Please see the images provided for a visual description.
