The History of Bobby Seale and the trial of the Chicago 8 has been well documented but at the time it was a new and unspeakable atrocity. The judge refused to request the trial be postponed due to the fact that Bobby Seale's attorney was not present. Bobby Seale repeatedly stated he would not testify at the trial til he was represented by counsel but the judge would not be fare, he had Bobby Seale bound and gagged to a chair and had a person speak on Bobby Seale's behalf. This travesty of justice was a strong point in the Civil Rights Movement of late 1960's in the African American Community and Pro Civil Rights figures. This action of injustice was one of the downfalls of the Black Panther Party and these actions slowly chipped away at the structure of the movement.
