1/4th plate French Daguerreotype housed in a passepartout style presentation measuring 5”x 6"

A very fine 1/4 plate French Daguerreotype in a passe-partout style presentation. This French daguerreotype looks to be a Sea Captain, with his navigational instruments and time piece positioned on the table next to him. The clarity and detail in this Daguerreotype is remarkable and fine. You can see the man's sharp weathered features and the details of the table covering. The detail of the time piece so crisp that you can almost read the numbers on the dial's face.
The passepartout style presentation frame is in near fine shape.
