1st Ed. Signed Donald Wandrei The Web of Easter Island Pub. 1948 Arkham House w/ Dust Jacket

Donald Wandrei holds many titles in the literary field, first as a major preservationist and collector of H. P. Lovecraft’s writings and early edition books and also as an author of remarkable cosmic horror and science fiction. His most collectable works are from the famed Arkham House Publishing that placed him in the company of liked minded writers of his time. The Arkham House has been collectable for years and this one being one of his most famous works.
The Web of Easter Island is the first edition, 1948 hardback with the original dust jacket limited to 3000. Both the book and dust jacket are in remarkable shape. The dust jacket has a small tear at the top center and top left of the front of the dust jacket. The color of the dust jacket shows no signs of fading or wear. The book has hardly any shelf wear to edges or spine and the dark color cloth end boards are pristine.
The book size is Octavo with original dust jacket signed by Donald Wandrei dedicated to John E. Carrol signed in blue ball point pen on first page. Last page states “ three thousand copies of this book have been printed from linotype Baskerville by The Collegiate Press, George Banta Publishing Company, Menasha, Wisconsin. This book is printed on Winnebago Eggshell. The binding cloth is Holliston Black Novelex.”
