A Charming Original Late 1800's Baltimore Oil on Canvas with Period Art Nouveau Gold Frame
An oil on canvas of a young girl standing in a doorway, circa late 1800's in period art nouveau gold frame. Signed lower right "ALB", but possible Hans Heinrich Bebie due to very similar details of other oil produced in Baltimore and Virginia area.
The painting has been cleaned and is in near perfect condition and the frame is near perfect condition as well. There is a very small lower left mold loss to the edge of the frame. This is very small and very hard to notice.
The painting is 14 x 17, as marked by the stretcher bar. The canvas is stamped marked by J. Rodenmayer 51 N. Paca Street Balt. Md. As stated on the canvas, J. Rodenmayer was a local artist material as well as Art Dealer.
