A Rare George Hunzinger Lollypop Arm Chair Rocker in Oak, Circa late quater 1800's
George Hunzinger was a furniture maker from the later half of the 1800's. His work was become one of importance and significance in the field of Victorian Makers. He holds 8 or more patents and his some of his work is in the The Met as well as the Brooklyn Museum. His work is very decorative and his style can be seen here in this fantastic example.
The chair is oak and has his signature Lollypop style arms. The chair is approx. 26 wide x 28 deep 42 tall.
The condition is very fine with tight joints and the mechanism is fine working order.
