Aaron Sopher Orignal Ink Drawing with Watercolor Sam's Select Meats Baltimore Artist Circa 1930's
Aaron Sopher, (1905-1972) was a twentieth-century American artist who is known for his depictions of Baltimore as long since been a collectable artist locally and national.
His quick and sometimes satirical sketches of characters of Baltimore have been his running themes in his art. Always quick to criticize the established art community regional and international, his art carries the theme of art of the common man.
In this wonderful large watercolor and ink drawing of "Sam's Select Meats" the animal follow the man carrying his bags of meats home.
This piece has been archival mounted and framed with protective UV Glass and Acid Free mat boards.
NOTE: another drawing is on the back of this piece. The estate copied it before he had it framed. A very intriguing image of a man at a Computer, not a typical image portrayed in Sopher's drawings.
