Antique Mid 1800s Egyptian Revival Ink Stand English Registry Silvered and Gilt

A very fine example of Mid 1800's Egyptian Revival. The piece is marked with a British Registry mark, on the back side of Sphinx.
The sphinx sits on top of a ball footed sarcophagus box which when opened, has two porcelain ink wells, please note one inkwell is broken on the bottom.
The four balls were gilt silvered at one point as well as the winged sun disc on the side. There is wear to the silver gilt and has been worn. The edges of the sarcophagus have a hand chased V design. The Sphinx is represented in full costume, scaled clothes, winged head dress with the bird head.
The base have beautiful cast sphinxes facing the viewer in a winged temple design which are done in fine strong detail. Two detailed women face masks are on either side of the sarcophagus.
Size: approx. 13.5 inches high by 9 inches wide by 8 inches high ( 33.75 cms by 22.5 cms by 20 cms)
Condition: Some wear to the gilt Silvered details, broken porcelain ink well.
