CHARLES H WILLIAMSON QUARTER PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE HAND TINTED

C M Williamson, was a Brooklyn New York Photographer, working in the mid 1800's.
We was known for his wonderful and fine detailed tinting ability.
He claimed to be a "Cameotype", (n. A name formerly given to a small vignette daguerreotype for mounting in a jeweled setting).
This near fine condition Daguerreotype is a wonderful Mother and Child, which was a very hard thing to achieve due to the long exposure of process. His bold and still crisp Yellow of the child's dress is amazing.
Size: Quarter plate
Cond: Very good, missing top of case.
