The book was written against the belief in witches, to show that witchcraft did not exist. "Part of its content exposes how (apparently miraculous) feats of magic were done, and the book is often deemed the first textbook on conjuring."
Reginald Scot (now spelled Scott) c. 1538 – 9 October 1599 was an English noble and a member of Parliament.
Book is bound with deckled edge pages.
Condition: Leather spine has split at the top, gold lettering is very fine. Light wear and light signs of the binding being loose, no missing pages. Front and back hinge of covers are weakened. Light soil the edges of the pages from storage. No damage to the pages. Inside of front cover has light toning and old bookplate on inside. Please see the images for more details.
