Early 1900s Oil on Canvas of Budapest Street Scene
A very charming oil on canvas of a street scene of a European city, most likely Budapest, since this is where the estate bought the painting.
The painting shows late Autumn with the old Street Car onthe left side.
The dark orange and browns are typical of the color palette of the era and the region.
Size: 17 1/2 x 23 1/2 frame
15 1/2 x 21 1/2 canvas
Condition: the painting has been varnished in the past 6 years. The back is sealed with dark paper. Small areas of where the canvas was bumped and has very minor paint loss ( approx. 1/32" of an inch)
