Globe Wernicke Desk and Cabinet with Detachable Legs
Year: Circa 1900-1940's. 

The company known for their Barrister Stacking bookcases had many varieties, not only bookcases but secretary desks and cabinets. Also designed and made like their bookcases, the secretary desk and cabinets could also include their bookcases. 
The interesting aspect about the fall front secretary desk was that they had detachable legs for added support and security. Many of these legs were lost over time but luckily there are a few cabinet makers that have made almost exact reproductions of these legs. 

The base is the scroll base with drawer. 
The cabinet is D 12 1/4  Grade 299 
The secretary is not marked but is a Globe Wernicke 

Size: 34 1/2 wide x 44 Tall x 20 deep (back to edge of knees of legs) 33 inches deep desk completely open
Condition: fine with wear and water marks to the top of the desk. Light wear and marks on the sides and inside. Not structural damage to the desk or cabinet. Please see the images for more details.
