Large Antique Leather Doctor's Bag with Catgut Sutures and Gauze Rolls

Antique Leather Doctor's bag with Catgut Sutures and gauze rolls.

Wow a doctor's bag that I have not seen as much of in the past several years. Most Doctor bags you find are Lilly Drug company bag but this unmarked bag is larger than the Lilly bags.
The Bag will make a great additional to any medical collection!!

Larger than average doctor bags, this one two part lid, leather strap pockets on both sides of the lid. Inside perimeter of the bag has leather straps to hold gauze and other items.
Bag is circa 1920's with the leather being soft and the inside leather is not dry rotted or breaking.
top chrome locking latch is broken off but does not effect the holding or closing of the bag. The bag is held fast by clip latches on either side of the bag. Please see images.
The leather belt straps are intact with one strap showing some wear and other strap appears to have been cut off. Please see images of the bag and the details provided.

Contents:
Three alcohol filled catgut sutures inside unbroken glass vials.
Assorted envelopes with dry catgut suture line, rolled gauze pads, small wooden tube with glass thermometer.

Size: 17" long x 8" deep x 9" tall

Condition: Fine with some wear to the edges. The leather has not been conditioned or altered and will need to cleaned. Chrome lock hint is broken off.
