MacArthur Autographed Photo and Dedicated to Capt. Daily A Personal Friend of MacArthur Circa 1932 Original Frame

 MacArthur Autographed Photo and dedicated to Capt. Daily, who was a personal friend of MacArthur. 

This piece along with the others come from a multi generational family of military service going back to the Revolutionary War. The last member was Raymond Dailey, who had a 45 year career that stated in 1904 and served under General John Pershing and continued post war with a graduated position from the Quartermaster Corps Motor Transport and was recognized as a specialist in Motorized developments and requirements. He traveled with President Roosevelt on his "many mission of defense plants throughout the country, organizing and supervising motor transportation requirements for the Chief Executive and his staff". He retired in 147 but recalled to duty by President Harry Truman and seven as motorized expert for another year then retiring permanently. 

The Photo is signed and dedicated to Captain Daily, 
Captain Daily was promoted to Captain on June 1st 1932
Photo is from MacArthurs time of his promotion to the youngest Major General, on 17 January 1925, at the age of 44. He was promoted, becoming the Army's youngest major general

The photo is not dated but appears to be after Daily's promotion to Captain in 1932.
The photo is framed in Hawaii, the reverse has the framer's label and was framed while Daily was stained on the island. 
Medium: Photogravure  with Signal Corp blind stamped on the bottom right margin. 
The photo has not been out of the frame since it was framed in 1930's.

Condition: Fine with light toning to the image but very minor. The Signature is still bold. Please see the images for more details.
