Magnificent 1/4 plate Daguerreotype Behind a white paper mat with the name "par F. Devisuzanne"

Magnificent 1/4 plate early daguerreotype of a "ventriloquist". The kind face of the older gent contrasts with the pretty young girl's doll-like composure. A strong image that has the older gentleman holding this young child in an almost ventriloquist pose. The young girl has short styled hair and small earrings dangling off her ears. A very unique image with character and quality.
Their masterful likenesses circa 1845, reside behind a white paper mat with the name "par F. Devisuzanne" written in ink. The paper mat is also outlined in fine ink framing this charming image. The entire presentation measures 5”x 6” and has been professionally re-glassed and archivally resealed with P-90 filmoplast tape.
