Mishler's Herb Bitters Advertising Clock By Baird Clock Company
"‘Mishler’s Herb Bitters / Purifies The Blood / Improves The Appetite / Sold Here’, (Maltz fig. 47), Baird Clock Co. Plattsburgh, New York, ca. 1890 – 1895, wood construction"
Jerry Maltz (Author) wrote the amazing book, Baird advertising clocks Hardcover (1998) and is a out of print book on the amazing company their Bitters advertising.
The Clock is original but the dial is metal and hand painted, all the clocks I have seen are paper dials.
The case is original but it is not original varnish color, this one appears to have been "repainted" or "lightened".
The paper label is inside the clock and is faded and slightly chipped at the bottom of the paper. The Pendulum is not original.
The clock can not be wound, the main spring is tight and can not be wound.
Size: 30” high
