Original Full Signature Of Jefferson Davis Dated February 17th 1886 on Card

Jefferson Davis (June 3, 1808 – December 6, 1889), the President of the Confederate Sates during the Civil War.
His Work as a Senator and his military history is filled with landmark achievements but he will always be remembered for his service of four years as President, 1861-185
After the end of the Civil War, Reconstruction was a major political movement to help "revive" the Union of the North and South.
During his later years, he wrote The Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government (1881) which was well received in the South and was said, "According to Collins, the change dates to Davis's tour of Alabama and Georgia during 1886-87. At each stop on the tour, the populace received him as a hero, to the extent that upon his arrival in Macon, Georgia, 6,000 schoolchildren scattered the petals of flowers along his route from the train station to his lodgings."

The card is a full signature and most likely signed during his extensive book tour of the South.
