Phil Specht's Orchestra The Georgians Orignal Press Photo Bill Briggs Vic Figlears
A collection of Photos from the Pennsylvania area has yielded with wonderful photo with hand written notes of members of The Georgians
The Georgians were a subset of the Phil Specht's Orchestra.
"In 1922 the Georgians went to Europe and stayed until 1924 and then rejoined Specht's Orchestra. The Georgians' stay in Europe was quite influential and gave many Europeans their first taste of a real American jazz band."
The back has hand written notes of the members and the band as well as the front.
The top of the photo has Vic Figlears ( crossed out Bill Briggs), in the center are tags of the both Vic and Bill.
Size: 8 x 10 and mounted to larger board.
Condition: Good, strong crisp image, the board is ripped on the edges.
