Ex Libris plate in front by Rem Peale, Rembrandt Peale died in 1860's. This is most likely a Nephew or Cousin of the famous painter and son of Charles Peale

Black leather spine & corners with gold gilt titles & rules, marbled paper over boards, marbled endpapers.
Printed on laid paper with watermarks.
Frontispiece portrait of Poe and woodcut decorations on title page.
Design by Samuel Warner, typography by Andrew Andrews.

Condition: tight binding, minor bumps to leather on cover, no staining or foxing inside. Minor leather tear at top front leather on spine. Please see images for a visual description. The Marble paper in front has been rubbed, please see image.
