4to. Mounted color frontispiece portrait of Washington S. Tyler, numerous color plates and designs, 5 leaves with 56 enamel finish samples, rear pastedown with 8 inset samples of metal finishes, each engraved with two designs.
Original green cloth, gilt-stamped on front cover and spine, shelf wear with some soiling on the front and back of the back. Bottom edge has two dents, please see the photos. Spine and binding is tight with some shelf wear. Inside front page has pencil drawing. Book Plate of Business Library of The Tyler Company, Baltimore MD branch.

A unique and lavishly illustrated early 20th-century trade catalogue from Tyler Elevator Company of Cleveland. Meant to be used as both a technical and design guide, its purpose was also to advertise and encourage the use of Tyler products and services. "To assure dependable, smooth-operating equipment, it is especially essential to have undivided responsibility; therefore, all of the parts which go to make up the complete elevator should be included in one specification and in one contract to one company" (p. 6).
