Poul Kjærholm (Denmark, 1929 – 1980)
Rare pair of PK-31 Easy Chairs Designed by Poul Kjærholm Produced by E. Kold Christensen Denmark

Both chairs have been in this estate since they were bought in the 1960's. The estate were dealers of Herman Miller in the Baltimore area for about 20-25 years.

"At Copenhagen’s School of Arts and Crafts, Kjærholm studied under Hans Wegner and Jørn Utzon — an industrial designer and the architect of the celebrated Sydney Opera House. The latter greatly influenced Kjærholm’s furniture production techniques — although he employed natural materials such as cane and leather, to a far greater extent than his peers Kjærholm embraced the use of steel (rather than wood) framing for his chairs and tables."

These amazing and stylish chairs are rare to find and in this condition.

Size: 30" wide x 27" deep x 27 1/2" high back
Condition: In VG+ condition. Minor surface age to the aluminum, leather is original with some wear to the seat and back. The left chair has some minor snags on the left arm, please see the details.
