Von Liski, did few WWII posters, most known for his decorative Art Deco style wall pieces, his talents are undeniable in this protest poster for the resistance of Nazi in Norway.
Hitler invaded Norway early on in the war and took over the country and government easily, but there was a strong resistance to the invasion but sadly many of the uprisings were put down with harsh and terrible crimes, mass shootings of protesters were common.
This large stone litho poster with his name at the bottom is amazing and bold, the red blood drips down the hand holding the Norway flag with broken chains.
A long poster is a three sheet and has been perfectly mounted to linen to preserve this work of art!
