The Book has been out of print since 1987 and is Dane Rudhyar's book on music and his philosophy of sound. Dane Rudhyar wrote extensively on music. He wrote his "own compositions tend to employ dissonant harmony, emphatically not of a systematic variety such as Charles Seeger's; Rudhyar was philosophically opposed to such a rigid approach. His musical thought was influenced by Henri Bergsonand theosophy, and he viewed composers as mediums, writing that "the new composer" was "no longer a 'composer,' but an evoker, a magician."

Rudhyar was a pioneer of modern transpersonal astrology.

Condition: the softcover edition is very fine condition with faint signs of reading or use. Back cover has light rubbing from shelf. Binding is tight and secure with no issues. Please see the images for more details.
