Tortoiseshell Inlaid with Gold and Silver Small Purse Marked Breveté SGDG Near Perfect Pique Work

Tortoiseshell inlaid with gold and silver small purse marked Breveté SGDG, (which simply means patent on French items).
The inlay on this piece is remarkable, a perfect example of Pique Work that the French are so well known for in this period.

Date: Circa 1850-1870's, also referred to a Napoleon III period.
Size: 2: diam.

The inside fabric appears to have replaced, the replacement is top notch and is a professional job.
Condition: VG, no loss of inlay on the top, the hing is in perfect working order. No cracks or damage to the tortoiseshell.
