Vintage Sinclair Oil Advertising Sign Circa 1950's Silkcreen on Metal

A wonderful and iconic image of the Dinosaur, the logo made famous by Sinclair Oil Company.
This silkscreen on metal is the Dinosaur, this dinosaur image is a little different than other ones, he is more realistic less cartoonish making this a great addition to your collection.

The sign is metal and the back is also painted red, the undercoat of the image on the front.
Sinclair’s advertising writers first had the idea to use dinosaurs in Sinclair marketing back in 1930 and has become associated with the oil company ever since.

"Sinclair Oil Corporation is an American petroleum corporation, founded by Harry F. Sinclair on May 1, 1916, as the Sinclair Oil and Refining Corporation by combining the assets of 11 small petroleum companies. Originally a New York corporation, Sinclair Oil reincorporated in Wyoming in 1976. The corporation's logo features the silhouette of a large green dinosaur."
