Winold Reiss Gouache on Board circa 1929 Design for Ceiling of Shellball Apt Kew Gardens

A new estate has been very gracious about having me represent their collection of WPA, Russian Constructivist and early 20th Century art collection. Located in NYC, the art will remain with them or if you need a viewing, please contact me for questions.
The next piece from this estate is this Gouache with Silver on Bainbridge board, a ceiling design for Shellball Apartmetns Kew Gardens.
Winold Reiss starts designing completes the Lobby of the Shellball Apt. 1928. He completes the apts. designs in 1929.

As you can see in this design, he is strongly influenced by the Art Deco, Cubist style and has the elegance of the Wiener Werkstätte style.
The original gallery label with information is on the back of the frame.

Once again this piece is framed behind glass and was photographed this way.

Condition: No visible damage or wear

This piece was purchased in the late 1980s from the Shepard Gallery and was part of the exhibit in 1988.
